Default Replacement windscreen.

Hi guys, my Ocean Race V70 has a large crack in the windscreen I am thinking about getting it replaced on the insurance as it’s only £100 excess. My screen also has a large blue sun strip is this normal on Volvo V70 facelifts or is it something to do with the Ocean Race cars ? 2005-2006. I don’t want to get a screen replaced and it’s just a normal non sun strip screen.

Gary

Mine also has a big blue sun strip

I'd actually prefer it without tbh but I've learned to ignore

When you get in touch with screen replacement company they will[or at least they should]ask whether it has a sun strip or not[assuming there is an option on these cars]if they don't ask then make sure you tell them it has one/whether it's heated or not etc.

I’ve had 2 windscreens replaced through my insurance company and both times the replacements have had the blue sun strip.

If your car has "auto" wipers it's worth mentioning, I read on here that someone's stopped working after an incorrect screen was fitted.

i too need a new screen. but im reluctant to have it done .as iv had 2 cars wrecked by leaking windscreens .they even replaced one 3 times and still failed to seal it . let us know how it goes if you have your screen replaced to allay my fears .
