Hi! I was searching timing adjustment and I found some stuff... Forgive me Peter but I think jas940 is right, check this out:
http://www.cs.rochester.edu/u/jag/vw/engine/fi/injpump http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2...1600/pump1.jpg http://www.tramontana.co.hu/citroen/guide/guide.php (pages 13 and 14) I also found that idle speed for d24t is 750rpm (http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/2.../1600/vv7.jpg), a little less than 830rpm (could be this last one for D24tic?). I think the difference is not relevant... In fact, there is a big cloud of grey/blue smoke on the start, it lasts while the car shakes... The idle speed increases to 1500rpm and then gradually slows down. If the timing is also controlled by cold start device, the advance would not be excessive? Or something more than +200rpm is acceptable? Which best setup? (I do short runs except on weekend, so I presume that as faster it warms up, better) Many thanks, D24TICsedan. |
