@Derek UK
Yeh have heard some people getting pretty good mpg's on Su's. Like Canuck form TB claims over 30. But I think we'll keep looking for a set of 45's as the car will only be used at weekend etc. @classicswede A set of R1 bike carbs would be the cheaper to buy but then there would be a lot of messign about to make them fit correctly. They do sound cool though. Defo couldn't be bothered with megasquirt, as I've only got the grasp of the basic things lately never mind a full standalone system. Just finished skool this week so will have more time to look for a set of carbs. Will keep the megasquirt in mind for my 940 if I bring her back from the dead. |

webers etc
I have run twin 40s with a webcon inlet which easily cleared the bulkhead and the steering knuckle on my RHD amazon. They also use a throttle linkage kit which utilises the original throttle pedal lower linkage . They have tham in stock along with dcoes . On a rolling road the power is up about 12% with the webers over the SUs

Just had a look at their site, £165 doesn't sound too bad for the RHD twin 40 inlet but I noticed there was no RHD twin 45 inlet? Do they not actually exist? I can get a short 42mm twin 45 inlet from Netherlands for 180EUR, will that do the trick if I go for 45's?

Thought I'd share these photos of my RHD webers, Rob at Amazon cars has the spec for my car as he did the work...I don't have it to hand but will upload when I can.

I'm away traveling on business at the moment and all the details are at home, but I know mine was one of the first batch of a shorter style for RHD cars.
But in the meantime you can hear it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiXKXST-S2U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRtJz-QtNnQ peter |
