Having started a nut and bolt restoration few yeas ago being brand new to the Volvo scene, it is a learning curve.

Ultimately, for Europe, there are three main manufacturers of parts; CVI, Skandix and VP Autoparts, all based across the channel (There are indeed plenty more). You can buy direct from these companies but be aware of shipping and other extra costs.

Long ago these companies used to be supplied by Brookhouse in the UK, but now there is a more symbiotic relation ship where they supply each other! I will probably be corrected but my understanding now is that Brookhouse mostly gets its parts manufactured in Europe (by the above companies), and is a wholesaler here in the UK to the AUTO trade, which also does retail.

Amazon Cars is basically a reseller, buying direct from over the channel and from Brookshouse, but doesn't have the volume or ties they do so cost can vary wildly depending on the part.

There is also Classic Swede providing parts the above lot don't. Mostly custom stuff in low numbers or more obscure upgrades or parts.

Lastly, on Second-hand parts, Tony Barret, Classic Swede and Amazon Cars all have there own sources and therefore different pricing and availability.

In reality there are many more manufactures, wholesalers and resellers, and it can be a headache. To simplify things I just stick to those above, for my own sanity.
