Here she is! Lovely car which is very tidy for its 33yrs. Needs some odds and ends doing but will be a great daily driver for us when it’s all done 🙂

Nice wheels. I had seen them on FB previously and wondered who had bought them. I think he had another set which are a bit more period correct.

Lovely looking Volvo! I think my 1996 940 SE LPT has the same wheels with summer tyres, been a while since I have seen them, as left winter tyres on.

Absolutely, I’ve just discovered it has red OAT coolant in it so a full flush will ensue tomorrow, followed by a new stat and a 40/60 fill of Super Coldmaster as I use in my other two. Hopefully the OAT won’t have done any long term damage, it looks very fresh so has probably only been in it for a few months at most.

He did have another set from a 760 I believe, but these were the ones I was after as they had fresh tyres on and what with seven kids/stepkids and Christmas around the corner we couldn’t quite spring for rims and a new set of tyres on top. Long term I’d like to put a set of Dracos on it and move these ones over to my diesel 940 to replace the tired and kerbed Aurigas on it, but that’s one for another day 🙂

Give it several flushes with water a few days apart Phil and use it in between. Just leave water in the cooling system between flushes, the more you can make sure the OAT rubbish is out of the system before even contemplating changing back to EG the better!

It will also give you the chance to find leaks caused by the OAT eating gaskets and find any possible overheating caused by any silicates precipitating out of the original EG because of the OAT.
