120 Gatherings
Since I was asked to step down as the 120 Register keeper there have not been any gathering held for the 120 Series. The new keeper has hardly been on the forum and from what I can see there are no plans for any gatherings in the near future. I could be wrong as I no longer receive the Driver magazine.
If there is nothing planned I am willing to organize something for this year, It would be similar to what I have done in the past and either central or slightly North. If there is any interest in me doing this please reply here and I will start putting something in place |

Hi Dai,
I enjoyed the 120 gatherings you organised and would be up for a meet, but doesn't look like others are! Dave |

Hi ya Dai
I think we need to work on the rule of ignore what others want at that position and we the crowd do what we want power to the people I say so let's show them how it's done and push this wonderful car into a well spotted car out and about anything I can help with you have my backing 100% even donate anything towards the gatherings . I think if we all put OUR minds together we can have some real gd gatherings going on across the uk supporting what I think and believe to be theeeeeeee best volvo ever made it's a testament to the designer they are still in everyone's hearts being loved and driven daily no less keeping up with modern traffic returning a wonderful MPG Such a all rounder with lots of curves in the right places and that's just the co drivers sat on the passengers seat lol Long live the volvo amazon hip hip hurray Kind regards Robert.w

Costs can be kept very minimal. I used to have a budget of £300 for an event and the venue costs and trophies came no where near that. There are pleanty of venues that are available for free and some basic trophies can be had for a few quid.
I will see what I can think of. The proposed Club gathering is Midlands but something a bit more north would be worth considering. |

I'd be interested in a gathering, slightly north would be good as I'm out in the sticks in Cumbria but I'd certainly consider a central meet.

There only seem to be a few of us in Scotland but north of England would probably be within reach for most of us so a northern gathering sounds like it might draw plenty owners from the midlands up hopefully. I know it's traditional to give trophies but not essential, just meeting up with each other and swapping a few parts may be enough for most.

I can offer a venue at the aviation museum in Dumfries, 70 miles from Underdrive, Bened, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle. I have 2 cars and I know another chap in town with 2 more. All we need to do is set a date.
Personally, trophies wouldn't be a reason to go, more the chat and a bit of parts swapping. |
