You can get them on Ebay, but S/H R/H ones are scarce, Iv'e seen a few silver ones but they nearly always need painted but be careful because the model changed from 2007 on.

Hi,

Yes, the pre-facelift ones are very different to the later type. Also, check if you have lost both the cover and the little kite-shaped connector piece that joins it to the water jet?

That connector piece is only available as part of a complete new washer jet and without it you cannot fit a new cover. If you are lucky and your connector is still hanging on, remove it and keep it safe until you get your replacement cover painted and ready.

As a further tip, gently fit a small cable tie around the locating lugs when you fit your cover, it will help to stop it flying off again!

It has a really good hold on the triangle and washer pump. These plastic covers are like most Volvo spares and very expensive for what they are. My opinion is that they get stolen by people who wont pay for new ones, rather than get lost. Therefore fixing a plastic tie could help but not against a thief.

Mine actually came off in a car wash and after a lot of searching we found the kite-shaped connector on the floor, so no, it's not always light-fingered motorists!

I personally don't think the method of connecting onto four little plastic lugs is very robust, hence why I've added the 'cable tie' modification to mine, no losses since!

Hi ta for replays. Yes this came off in a wash. The triangle bit is still in the washer part. It's just the back of the cover with the holes has let go. Yes I'll check eBay .
