Hi There New To Forum Just Bought An Immaculate Black V40 2.0i Se.
Want To Add A Couple Of Extras Just To Make It Look Good And Give It A Little More Poke Anyone Any Ideas. Have Found A Couple Of Induction Kits Has Anyone Tried Them And Noticed Any Diffrence. Also Found A Lowering Kit At About 30mm Anyone Know Of Any Drawbacks. Any Ideas And Advice Would Be Appriciated

Hi,

Induction may work, but make sure you have a cold air feed as they will not give the performance you'd expect.
Hot air from the engine compartment being sucked in will drop engine performance.
You may be just as well off with a decent panel filter like Pipercross ones and leaving the current set-up as is..

Lowering.... Brings you closer to the humps!!
Won't necessarily improve the ride quality, but that will depend on what shocks and springs you use.

Try this web site out. Might give you some ideas on suspension, induction kits etc thats available for your car.

Good point. That said, Funny how K&N can make claims of 14 bhp by using their cone filters.

Or perhaps their testing is not reflective of the real world and make over enthusiastic claims. I am sure the dyno testing could be manipulated to give a few extra 'ghost' horses
