Does the car have a PCV system? Is this blocked or clear. May also be a factor!

If its not starting are u sure the immobiliser is working correctly?
The PVC system is completely clear. It was changed this weekend.
If the immobiliser was the problem would it then still give me sparks and fuel?

Has the car started at all since the PCV was changed as this puts a whole new range of issues to look at if it is the case - Mike

Hi Mike ,

The car hasn't started after the VPC job.

First thing i am going to check is the working of the throttle body as i have taken that one off and cleaned it.

There is a spark and there is petrol going towards the sparks and injectors.

Will be Saturday before i will be able to test it.

Got the inlet manifold of again and checked the throttle body.

When i turn the ignition to position 2 it closes but when i then press the pedal to the floor nothing happens.

Is this the correct working?
That it should only move after the car has been started or should this move as soon as you press the pedal in regardless if the car is running or not??

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition to postion II?

Have to checked there is fuel at the fuel rail, press the tyre type valve at the end to check.

Have you had a look at the plugs after you've tried to start it, are the plugs wet with fuel?

There is fuel going to the fuel rack.
I had the fuel rail disconnected and when i switched the contact to position 2 it squirted some fuel out.
That valve in the throttle body closed and then nothing anymore.

I just discovered that i have the one with the white sticker on it which is the old version.

The sparks where wet after trying to start .

I wouldn't worry about the ETM not moving as the engine isn't firing, check the fuel with the release valve on the end of the fuel rail, if it doesn't spray out then the lines not presurised - Mike

OK, I can't remember if the throttle plate should open without the engine running, but I'd suggest you have a look at the fuses in the fuse box behind the air filter, there is at least one for the throttle and some for other engine management functions including the coils & injectors.

I'd think it's worth a check of these for poor connections etc. as you say sparks seem weak as well.

There is fuel coming out of the injectors and the plugs are sparking.
The throttle body isn't moving and i stays shut.
The car is drowning.

Is it possible the engine is just flooded from the starting attempts?

Maybe removing the spark plugs and the fuel pump fuse then spinning it over on the starter to clear the fuel may see it start.
