Replacement knob for 2014 XC60 6-speed reverse bottom right
2 years ago I wrote a post about replacing the crappy old gear knob that is cracked and the chrome has come off on our 2014 XC60 6-speed (reverse bottom right). I couldn't find a decent one from a breakers.
There has to be an after-market solution to this as they must all be failing by now. Has anyone found a solution? A 10-year old replacement is not going to be any better. |

Searching my VIN, these 2 parts come up.
The original 31437880 R-Design that can retrofit 31259340 I'm happy with anything at this point but don't have experience in buying and changing gear knobs so am unsure what fits and if I need to replace the sleeve too if I change the design of the knob. |

Any after market knobs that are good quality and would fit the M44 box?

Otherwise I'll try to source an original replacement in the UK...what are the best parts sites? All seem to be in Europe...and I'd prefer not to pay another Brexit tax.

On Skandix 31437880 is listed as fitting the following models:
S60 CC (-2018), S80 (2007-), V40 (2013-), V40 CC, V60 (2011-2018), V70 (2008-), XC60 (-2017), XC70 (2008-) That may help broaden your search, that is, if you're hunting for second hand. Personally, I wouldn't bother with aftermarket unless it was very special so, if you intend to keep the car long-term, I would try Volvo for a price, bite the bullet and enjoy a new genuine article. You could try calling FRF Swansea and quote C3 for forum/club discount.
