Default Is this a tracker?

Hi, I've just bought a 64 plate Volvo V70 and have found this (please see photo attached) in the passenger side footwell. Not sure if it is meant to be there or if it is a tracker added by a previous owner. Hoped someone on here might be able to shed some light on it. thanks

looks too small to be a tracker, and being in the footwell is an odd place to get good enough signal. Also seems like something else may have been stuck to the front of it given the two double sided tape strips.

That looks a lot like an apple air tag, which can track the movements of the car via phone.

thanks, any clue what it might be? We also discovered a live wire tucked between the windscreen and the dash, so not sure if the 2 are related?

Apple air tag I think.

Those wires look like it may have had some kind of dashcam.

you dont have wires for apple air tags, they have a shelf life of approximately a year.

Looks like an antenna to me, the sticky pads have failed and its dropped down, does the front have any markings? and is the cable coming out of it the same one up on the dash?

I think a tracker would be better hidden and apple tags are wireless.

If your radio doesn't have a USB or aux in maybe its one of those FM transmitters for getting phone/ipod music into the car?

I've managed to get the glove box out and there's a Trakm8 tracker there and the back of the dongle has GPS and a code written on it.
Thanks for all your help. Hope this also helps anyone finding anything similar.
