Some advice needed (1998 Volvo V70)
Hi everyone,
I have a 1998 Volvo V70 2.4 10 valve auto with 120k on the clock (my 1st Volvo). I've just checked the auto gearbox fluid and its a light honey coloured brown - not bright pink/red like new fluid. 1) should I change it? 2) which ATF fluids shoud I use (dextron II seems right??) 3) I've changed the ATF on other cars I've owned just by taking off the sump cover and letting it drain off then re-filling with new fluid through the dip stick hole...is this ok on the V70? 4) do they come have a filter/magnets inside the sump that need changing? Thanks for reading this, any help/advice would be very welcome. Cheers, Matt |

Do a forum search - there should be loads on the auto box, however I believe that the fluid choice is critical.
IMO if it ain't broke leave it alone, but I know nothing |
