XC70: General Dashboard and center console quality problems

Hello guys!
I bought new Volvo xc70 from dealer in 2011 in my country (Poland). After 2 month of usage the problem arrived. Dashboard (and central console) are source of strange noises while driving (cracks etc).The console squeaks occur when the car brakes, accelerates, body twists, or drives over a microscopic crack in the road. Mechanics used some 'special' oil to fix that but it didnt help . Do You have similar problem with Yours volvos, and maybe You have some ideas how to fix it?

Sounds like a 'Friday' car - I would be a bit annoyed with that - I had an XC70 for 3 years and 124,000 miles with no squeeks, cracks or rattles even at the end.

Hope you can get it fixed it' s a great car.

I have had no problems with console but the rear load are makes a few squeaks when the seats are down and only a light load being carried. Overall I find the build quality of the internals pretty good.

Just ran your video and then went out to my car and tried to replicate what you did and I got no noises and everything was firmly fixed together. I think you have a good basis for your dealer doing some further investigation.

i've fixed a couple of these you need to separate the two halves of the centre stack and add some felt tape down both edges , you will see dust where the two pieces are touching and rubbing!
