Default V70 D5 euro 4 185hp deep noise from intake

My 2006 V70 D5 euro 4 makes that deep roaring noise and it really annoys me. I just had all the lifters replaced and the engine is otherwise smooth as a whistle, just perfect but that deep resonating sound is something I wish wouldn't exist. Any other diesel car don't have this noise. Even the newer Volvo 5 cylinder don't have it.
Cause the lifters had now been changed, no pressure should exit via intake valves anymore (which i know is a common problem and also causes exessive noise)

So my question is. Is it completely normal? If so, can it be dampened some how?
If it's not normal, what would cause this noise? The deep sound also travels to cabin. Compared to 2013 D5 the sound level night and day.

I'll post 2 videos. One is with the intake pipe dismantled and the other is intact. When intact it's much less audible, and better heard with headphones (you'll need to hear the low tones) but it's still there.
If I cover most of the intake with my hand then the sound completely disappers. IMO that's exactly how a diesel engine SHOULD sound like.

Did you try blocking the hose coming from the vacuümpump going to the front and rear engine mount and notice a change of the engine sound??

Sounds normal to me. I think its just a characteristic of the engine.

Newer ones are more refined and sound less "agricultural".

this is why I couldn't have a diesel, the mpg is very tempting it's true and they've got grunt, but that rattley noise all the time would do my head in, it sounds like a taxi

the deeper rumble underneath wouldn't be a problem for me? although if it's resonating through the cabin I guess it could be annoying
