Post Fitting instruction required for XC90 OEM towbar

Help, in the past I've managed to find a copy of the Volvo filling instructions for the OEM (Brink) XC90 towbar here on the forum but after much searching I'm drawing a blank (lots of broken links as Volvo seem to have removed them from their website).

Can anybody help? For info I think the part number is 8698921 although this might just be for the detachable bit.

Other details are XC90 MY2006

The part number you gave gives 2 types in VIDA. Which do you have, 2 or 2a ?

Hi, thanks for the quick feedback. The type I want to fit is type 1 (not 1a) - I hope I've brought the correct one. Might not be such an eBay bargain!!!

I've attached the instructions for type 1 to this post in PDF format.

A 2006 XC90 would normally have the type 1a fitted(I think) so I'm not sure a type 1 will fit. If it does let us know.

Thanks very much for this I'm sure this will be a great help. The towbar in the PDF isn't quite the same as mine and its quite funny how the XC90 instructions reference the V40. I might get myself a copy of the VADA software and see if I can find my precise model towbar.

The instruction set I previously found on the forum referenced changing the exhaust mount to a longer one so I'm going to have to sort that one out also.

Thanks again
