In my experience, the resonator seals generally start failing when the lower engine mount - the torque bar bushes fail.

So the message is to look at why those seals have failed as if the engine is moving/rocking it will only reoccur.

2010 XC90 D5 , I have bought a silicon hose to replace the resonator box , I had a look yesterday , But I have no idea how to remove the top hose clamp to release the resonator , can anyone tell me the best way to remove it ? so far all I can manage is to just touch the clamp with my fingers I am accessing it from below. Thanks

Get the car up on ramps and slide right underneath.

Look forward between the subframe and angle gear and you will see the top turbo hose clamp.

I used a long 3/8th socket bar and correct size socket ( not screwdriver ) so that I could get plenty of purchase on it.

It's tight working there but definitely the best way.

I noticed even my replacement boost pipe is leaking at the joints so needs a tidy up in that area.

I can confirm this from my experience as engine mount needed replacement shortly followed by top seal blown
