But as u stated earlier u r using oil 1ltr per 800-1000 miles.

Have u checked the oil return pipe? for cracks and oil seal
Even tho its coming out the back it could be the outside of the exhaust.

Do u have any sort of code reader that is capable of data logging?
No lights on (yet),lol, Have access to a ramp(in a weeks time) so will check the oil return and oil seal, i know 850rick will give us a code scan, so will see what happens their,.
Will keep you posted.

I have my suspicions the maf is faulty revs are up and down when car is coming to a stop, Is defiantly code reader time.

Default Update

Took the car to a Volvo specialist for a code read,- no fault codes what so ever, he said the fluctuation on the revs is probably worn plugs failing that a throttle body clean.
So still the smoking issue - now seeing blue smoke on start up ( quite a cloud ) so today took top hose off intercooler and found oil in it this then runs to the throttle body (not good) next i sprayed carb cleaner up the drain hole on the intercooler nothing seemed to come back out?
This now has me thinking possible blocked intercooler? if the oil can not drain out of the drain hole this is how it is ending up at the top hose/throttle body?
Going to change plugs on Monday, will report back.

been reeding through your post, is yours the engine with the electronic throttle?

if so, chances are it on its way oot.

alot of the early models needed an upgrade cos they werent made right on production, also software download is necessary.

this wouldnt show on a code reader.

cos its the early signs of it going wrong
