I've got plenty of experience in dropping the dash out in a quick time on these (35 minutes is my current record!), however i'm right in the middle of both of you, some 150 miles.

If you fancied it yourselves and had a dry spell (not likely at the minute with this weather) - look in the articles section for my V70 dash guide. C70 dash will be pretty much identical.

That's a really good guide!

The only difference with the C70 is that the centre console extends the whole length of the car, so there are more bits to undo.

You have to first remove the rear seat cushion. It's just held by two clips at the front: put you hands under the front of the cushion, doing one side at a time, and tug upwards and they will release. Pull forwards and upwards and the rear of the cushion comes out from under the bottom edge of the seat back. (Refit is the reverse - locate seat cushion over sockets for clips and push down firmly).

This reveals two more bolts at the very rear of the centre console - you need to remove these too.

Then manhandle the centre console out as described in this thread, remembering to reach underneath and unplug the rear electric window switches (if you have them - I think that's just on the convertible?), rear power socket and the sub-woofer switch is applicable.
