Steering: 70: Suspension arm rubber stops

Hi folks

Looking to track down a part number for the rubber steering limiter stops on the OEM Suspension arms (both sides). Does anyone know if the Febi 29617 bump stop would fit?

I will change the whole front suspension setup later in the year so looking for cheap short term fix if anyone has another solution they've used?

The C70 has blue steering limiter stops, they are different to the white ones as fitted to S/V70. Partsforvolvoonline supply the correct ones and not expensive. The Febi ones in the link are not correct.

At £20 + delivery just for the rubber limiters, I may as well replace the whole arm as the bushes look like they'll need doing soon enough.

Don't get cheap arms. You get two years max out of them. Decent ones are from Volvo parts department or lemforder about 95 to 110 a corner for 4 bolt, 2 bolt is less.

The rubber stops get the blue ones as black you'll get tyre rub on anything but 195 15" wheels = mot fail

Stock rivets suck as the holes will already be rattled out. I drilled out and tapped mine to M5, bolted me ones on like 5years ago, still where I left them.

The arms shown on HTP's post above from PFV are for standard (i.e. cheap) arms, which as Brickman says won't last - ask me how I know! Go on the site and buy the heavy duty items which are more expensive but they are Meyle items which are at least as good quality as the original Volvo parts and will last if installed correctly.

I'm on the process of changing one of mine (was a cheapo) which has lasted barely 20k miles and even then I had to change out the bushes for Polybushes after only about 3000 miles, now the ball joint has gone. A Meyle item going back in, I'm sick of doing this job, you get what you pay for.

An important tip: When doing up the two main bush bolts tight, jack the suspension hub up so the weight of the car is fully sitting on the suspension arm, so that the suspension spring is compressed to something like its normal resting position. If you tighten the bolts with the suspension fully extended, when it becomes fully compressed under normal driving conditions over bumps etc. it will strain and tear the bushes and wreck them. Again, ask me how I know.....
