Default ABS & Tracs warning light

Had the ABS & Tracs warning light come on for no logical reason on my way home today, no apparent problem, brakes working fine, checked the fuse on arrival, in tact, although did replace it. Any one got any suggestions before I take my V70 ‘R’ AWD ’98 model into my local garage tomorrow??????
Thanks Dave

Hi Dave

Hope you are keeping well.

From what you describe, you will have got a fault code that will be able to be read. If the fault code shows a bad rear sensor, it will likely be the ABS ECU that needs replacing. Not cheap I'm afraid.

If it's not this, the other problem can be the ignition switch module. Try moving the key around when it's in the barrel and started. This could make the light go out if this is the fault.

Good luck.
