Default Gas guidance please

I currently use 2 x 4.5kg Calor butane bottles, but every year I seem to exchange partially full cylinders so that I have 2 full cylinders before I go to France for two weeks. I have always used two bottles as one is used out of the van for the Cadac.
Having changed the caravan for a newer one this year, it has a built in regulator and an external bbq point for the Cadac.
The trouble with the Calor cylinders is that you cannot see how full they are and have to weigh them which is not very accurate. Also, they are not available in France.
Can anyone suggest what they do? BP used to do a lightweight translucent cylinder which would be ideal but I don't know whether they are available in France. How would I connect that to the bulkhead regulator on the caravan?
Hope someone can help.
TIA

Go for the calor lite bottles. Ideal for caravan etc, lightweight and have a built in gas level indicator/gauge

Two stages of change.

1. Upgrade your 4.5 kg butane to 6kg propane. On my way! modern caravans on regulator does both types all you will need is a propane tail for the regulator. Slightly heavier but 33% more gas. We manage a month in France each year with one 6 kg bottle with plenty left and I also use a Cadac.

2. Modify the gas bottle holder to accept a 13kg bottle. Fairly easy and on full 13kg bottle is lighter than 2 full 6 kg bottles.

Not sure if Calor will allow you to swop the cylinders as the have the bottles in groups but certainly if you go down the gas light route you will have to pay a new deposit £34 each as they are in a group on their own.

I have a motor home and have fitted a refillable system. It uses the same connections and costs pence to fill. I assume it will work on a caravan
