Default New XC90 navigation problem (not installed)

Hi, I read some posts here about the update at new Volvos , and it looks like some of you got some experience. I just got a brand new xc90 and a Volvo for the first time ever. But it was delivered without navigation. The system says "update maps via USB", but I've tried that now with about five different usb disks to no avail. It doesn't do anything, no matter which port I use. I even tried to copy all of the downloaded files out of their folders onto the root directory of the flash disk, but that seemed to be a bit awkward to be a solution and it did not work either. From your experience, how long does it take until an update starts (I waited a few minutes)? Do you think it is possible that there is no navigation software installed at all (as said, navigation does not work at all)?
Thanks a lot for your help and enjoy the holidays!
Kind regards
JC

As it’s brand new, I’d call the dealer and ask them to fix it/guidance.
