Default 03 C70 Dynaudio RH 8.5 bass driver

Hi All,

what a great resource this is...

I have recently purchased a 03 C70 with very low miles :-), despite the ultra low load space I have even sorted out 'How to pack a large drum kit and other technology' into my lovely car...I do however have to lower the roof to fit my 22" Kick drum in!

I have the premium Dolby system onboard, from reviewing the previous posts and removal of various panels can confirm the dynaudio kit throughout...

I have just discovered that the driver side (right hand drive UK) bass driver is not working... I think this is the 8.5"? if any one could confirm that would be great!

My first fear was amp/dsp failure sad.gif:-(,
I removed the passenger side door panel used the fader to push all signal to the front, then panned hard left to reassure myself the passenger side driver was functioning.... tick that box.... all good, then plugged in the suspect speaker (driver side speaker) and no noise/sound/crackle was heard... my conclusion is I have a speaker failure...

....I now find myself wondering, after contacting Dynaudio to seek a replacement to no avail, whether I can get one from elsewhere, upgrade (which I think would be difficult to achieve given the general component quality) or just sulk during my daily 4hr round trip commute.... the latter does not appeal just yet huh.gif:-)

Is there any 'Sound' Advice, spare 8.5" speakers help needed.

Bests
