Default 2011 XC60 2.4 D5 aux belt tensioner

anyone know where i can find the original alternator belt tensioner from, with spring loaded arm rather than upgraded hydraulic system ??

assuming he HAS he should take it to his dealer and get the free recall done to convert it to the old type .. it involves some machining of the cylinder block and thread cutting and the special tools MUST be used .

i tried going to volvo for the recall but they are not playing ball at all apparently the recall expired last dec.... they are trying to charge me alot of money to do the work.. hence trying to get the original so can do a like for like swap.. the aux belt is new so should only need the old style tensioner and away we go..

alas no , the cylinder block needs drilling for a new Mounting hole it needs the VOLVO template tool and special self centring drill , they have the kit for doing it . If you mess that up you are in big trouble . I would question them about the recall, R recalls do not expire . or try another dealer . they should not charge you more than an hours labour for doing it .. the belt is different to the hydraulic one by the way
