I have no experience of the earlier coupe or soft-top, mine was the later folding hardtop. We had no problem once in, very comfortable tbh. Normal sized adults. Getting in (and out!) was admittedly not all that easy, but no worse than any other two door coupe. Compared with say the Eos, Astra, pug, or any other folding hardtop convertible we tried before buying the Volvo, the Volvo’s rear legroom was huge.

I suspect that this is beyond the capabilities of the poll, but I am curious as to whether the results of the poll would be trending downwards as the car age, or whether the results have stayed fairly static since it was started.

I bought my current Volvo new in 2008 with the intention of it seeing me into retirement. It has done that admirably and continues to provide sterling service, but when it eventually expires I won't be buying another car.

But that aside, my ownership experience has been overwhelmingly positve, and were my situation to change and I had to be another car it would unquestionaly be another Volvo, probsbly a SPA XC90 or it's forthcoming successor.

I bought my Volvo V60 PHEV new in 2016 and apart from an electrical failure due to water ingress, it has been pretty much faultless. I would certainly consider buying another Volvo but I want to go full electric and the price of the XC40 is prohibitive

I've been extremely impressed with my 20 year old S60 and have been glad to find the marque is everything I'd hoped it would be. But slightly more comfortable than I'd imagined (I knew they were nice places to sit but damn).

I'm under no illusion that a brand new Volvo will be as brittle or glitchy or problematic as a BMW or Mercedes but I could be tempted away from Jaguar with an XC60 I think.

Because of the outrageous cost of 2nd hand Volvo’s I’ve taken a step away for now but I’ll be back once reality returns

I think you have made a wise move Thong. Personally I think there is more to these prices than a shortage of chips. Once reality returns to the forecourts, there are going to be a lot of people who have lost a lot of money. The bubble will burst.

Going back to the subject title, yes I would buy another Volvo, but I hope I will never have to.

A Volvo release on the next generation XC90 appeared in my LinkedIn feed. I commented that it looked tempting but was there any chance of having buttons, not just the touchscreen. My post was removed.

So it's unlikely I'll be replacing the current one.
