Default 1800 ES Spares

Hi Gordon.

Do you still have the correct plastic (escutcheon) washers for the interior door handles of the ES? Are they black & in good nick? If so, how much, please?

VF.

I don't recall what they look like from memory, so if you can give me a picture I'll get hunting.

Sorry, but I can't as I haven't got originals on my car! But I understand that they were peculiar to the ES model and no others. (But I could be wrong).

Problem is I have boxes and boxes of 'stuff'. I know I'll have lots of Amazon ones, late S ones and even early S ones. Along the way, I've broken up a few ES's so there might be something though I'll struggle to discern the difference with all the other bits. I'll try to have a look on the 1800 gallery and see if there are any interior shots that might help me see what I'm looking for...

Ok, from a trawl through the gallery, it looks like they are the same as the later E ones. I had these kind fitted to my S because they are bigger levers and easier to operate. I got hold of a pair of the smaller chrome kind in a bid to return the car to a more original state recently, but I only got round to replacing the drivers side, so the passenger side will be available when I can get round to it. You can also have the other one when I can think where on earth I have put it. I'll be in touch.

Default grille surround

Hi Gordon, do you have a grill surround (edge) in one of your boxes? Preferrably one of the metal-grille ones, but I can make the edge of the plastic grille work too.

Please let me know,

cheers, Rob

Hi Rob,

I take it it's the surround you want as pictured...

008.jpg

I'd take £40 for it.
It's from an 'E' but isn't as good as it looks in the photo.
It is straight in all the right places and all the grill lugs are sound.

I'll be at the NEC Classic show Friday - Sunday on the club stand. If you want it and are going, I'll bring it with me.

Cheers,

Gordon

Just lost out on a steering box. Want one to rebuild and keep the car on the road!
Also need the interior door handles for a 1967; the type that are all chrome. One has nomen 'ears' but can't remember which one so I would take two!
I'm trying to get a proper tool kit together so if you have any bits I would be interested.
Need the ' key' that retains the jack.
I will have a think for other bits
