Workhorse of a car. Always starts in all weathers. Runs well. Gets you there, gets you home again. Selling dues to the acquisition of a slightly newer Volvo.

Pros
New Brake Pads (last September)

Stainless steel rear-section exhaust (behind the cat) life-time guarantee

Vredestein Snowtrac tires with loads of tread left
Excellent in snow, ice and wet. cost 90 per tire, new, rated for around 80k miles, done less than 30k.

New spark plugs, ignition leads, rotor arm and distributor cap at beginning of year.

Never leaked anything on the tarmac, I've only ever needed to top the oil up once in four years.


Cons:
Stereo doesn't work (quite possibly a fuse, I've never bothered to look)
Some internal plastic fittings have broken/cracked (interior otherwise in great nick; see link to pictures below)
Handle that unlocks rear folding seats has broken
Headlight lens on driver-side is cracked and the reflector needs replacing
Rear wiper doesn't work (do they ever?)
Spots of rust on rear wheel arch edges

MoT warnings on test last year:

"Front exhaust has minor leak" (now slightly larger and blowing a bit)
"Offside front shock absorber has light misting of oil and slightly reduced damping effect"
"Offside rear trailing arm bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement"
