Front brakes holding on after rear calipers replaced
Hi just replaced both rear brake calipers on my 2002 V70 T5. Rear brakes seem to work fine but now my front brakes are holding on. Has anybody come across this problem before?

its possible that you may have to much fluid in it if you just pushed back the pistons try bleeding calipers and monitor the fluid in the res

After pressure bleeding the brakes all round front brakes have now stopped holding on.
Brakes work fine but now have a long pedal but only when engine is running. Pedal is good when engine isn’t running. Any ideas? |

long pedal after a good bleed with new calipers (pistons) can be caused by the piston rubbers not having properly bedded in. a fix that worked for me in the past was to fix the brake pedal to "on" with a block of wood and leave it overnight, to get the calipers positioned and working correctly. (sound like you may want to do this with the engine running, then turn off once you have brakes fixed on)

Careful you're not confusing the softer feel of vacuum assistance (engine running) with the more solid pedal feel with engine off when the vacuum has been expelled after a few pedal presses.
