No Eye Deer
Driving up in the west highlands I am absolutely sure that my Volvo V90 is not capable of identifying a huge stage about to jump into the road.
Why? Because my car will make some sort of bleeping noise when identifying a parked van 5ft away from a road but won’t notice a stag jumping into the road 45 metres ahead…

You actually experienced this?
Not sure if they tweeked something between ‘18 and ‘22 but my XC40 is not nearly as twitchy on cars parked on the side of the road as my XC60 was.. Haven’t had a chance to test it with wildlife (touch wood..) but I have read plenty of driver testimonies on swedespeed on car reacting as it should.

I had a deer cross about 70 -100m across (we do underestimate distance I think). it went across quite quickly, I was going aroung 50 mph.
nothing triggered MY19 XC60

Either intellisafe for further away and faster speeds or city safety for closer by and slower speeds. City safety works using cameras, intellisafe uses radar and cameras.

You got intellisafe on your 2019 XC60? I know earlier XC90s came without it.

A few times I've had a flashing red light on the dash (collision warning) that has been triggered by deer running across the A9.
Not sure if the car would have reacted in anyway as I already saw them and had my foot on the brake as the light started to flash. |
