Default Software Updates

I drive an MY24 volvo XC60 B5. I was notified of a software update last weekend which resolves issues with the auto rear collision brake and some "bug fixes". I applied the update. It seemed to take a long time to apply.
Ever since, whenever I start my vehicle the climate control comes on, even if it was switched off when the car was last used. I have spoken to Volvo support who suggest that doing a re-boot on the infotainment will resolve this issue. I have tried it 3 times and it has not resolved the problem. Volvo support say that the car needs to go to the dealer.

Has anyone else had this problem - it surely cannot just be me? Is there a fix other than taking it to the dealer?
