rear caliper carrier torque
Can anyone confirm the rear caliper carrier M10 bolts torque setting please. I found some info online stating 105 NM using new bolts. Is this correct?
Thanks Dave |

I remembered I purchased Vida 2 Go and Dice a couple of years ago. Had a look in the manual. For anyone looking for rear caliper carrier bolts (M10 X 30mm, part no 987488) The sequence is 35NM then 2nd stage 60 degs.
Interestingly, I have just changed the rear wheel bearings. I purchased SKF from Parts in Motion. ( good service) My 2010 xc 90 has only done 55,000 miles and yet the old bearings I took out were SKF? I wonder if they had been done before I purchased it at 36,000 Or do Volvo fit SKF bearings? Haven't taken it out yet, hope it cures the droning noise from the rear of the cabin. Thanks for all the info and tips I gleaned from here. Great site. Dave |

Volvo don't manufacture parts. Same applies to other manufacturer's. If you buy an oil filter from Volvo for example, they didn't make it. Someone else made it, but Volvo put the filter in a Volvo box and charge you extra because its "genuine". This the same with brake parts, brake discs.. they're all made by someone else.
