buying v70xc 2001

Hello All

I'm just about to buy 2001 xc 70 manual 2.4 T.with 120 on the clock
Are there any common issues on this AWD systems?
What should I look for when inspecting the car?

In a word YES. As with all cars service history is best, if not check it thoroughly. Wishbones, drop links, brakes especially the rear hand brake shoes very important, do a search in the v70 section of this year. make sure the propshaft is fitted as they are often removed. listen for clunks and bangs.
Is it a private or Garage sale ? Fluids, oil, water, and if auto check the smell and colour, again you can search for ATF fluid.

check the aurobox! make sure thrre are no harsh shifts

wishbone bushed

ensure tyres are all same tread

check awd

pas

springs

rear nivomat shocks arnt leaking

etm is ok and idles fine

check all enginr bushes especially top mount into the long bar

handbrake works

and my list goes on

cambelt

thats 1 year of ownership
