Five coats of clear lacquer applied to a new set of Koni Active shock absorbers to be fitted in a few weeks. Plenty of older reviews suggest they are prone to rust so I thought it would be prudent as I have a few weeks before fitting.

My local independent specialist told me that my current and original struts have a slight flex in the shock and top mount. He said he’d leave it if it were his car but the top of the new side wheel move in and out more than 1cm so it new struts and shocks all round.

Just finished the other side today... Both rear wheel bearing shot at around 95.000 miles... My old C30 was still going strong on it's wheelbearings at 130k miles... Then again, the V70 has a huge boot, so it had some loads in it - at least as far as I would guess

New windscreen, windscreen side trims, A pillar interior trims. Still not happy with the rain sensor gel pad mess but that’s for another day.

Dismantled the nylon gear selector block and applied silicone grease. Had to disconnect the cables and unbolt from car. A nightmare job!

Replaced top engine torque mount. I presume the original one at 124k miles was completely perished. The car is far smoother when pulling away now with no knocking.
