B230K Carb Swap
At the moment I have a 240 Estate 1987 running with a B21 manifold and Stromberg 175 Carburettor. It is running well except for the fuel consumption and the 175 Stromberg probably needs a rebuild.
Webcon are offering a replacement kit for the 740 B230K engine which is supposed to be a direct replacement for the Pierburg on the 740. So - is the set up of a 240 Series B230K Carburettor identical to the one of a 740? From pictures I can see little or no difference - am I right in assuming that the throttle connection for the 740 is on side of the no.1 cylinder - same as on 240? I have the original 240 Pierburg manifold and all the pieces.

I have a Weber 32/34 DMTL fitted on a B200K manifold (from a 300 series), all mounted to my B21a
The carb was donated and originally fitted to a VW bus so I'm told. The only part I had to buy was a choke cable, the throttle cable was ok Hope that helps |
