Default 240 panel trim - Black?

Is there any way of getting the trim strip that runs along the bodywork back to black?
I T-cut Tor a while back and a bit of the cream went on to this bit of trim.
I'm not sure if it's just wear on mine, but the trim piece is almost like a felt, rather than a flat rubber/plastic.

Either way, it's turned sections of it a white powder/stain.
Any way of getting it back out?

Edit-> I should say, mine's a Tors and as such, the standard chrome that runs along the trim on other models isn't present.
It's the trim along the top of the door, just below the handles.

Cheers.

"Back to black" in my experience is useless. It has no colouring power whatsoever, and does no more than a bit of spit does, and lasts just as long.

Plastic trim usually responds well to black boot polish, or for a real dye try those little pots of specialist concentrated wood stain - Eboron or something. Don't spill it - it really does stain anything

I've used a product by Autoglym which is easy to apply and takes off a lot of dirt as well as bits of polish. It's also easy to remove from paintwork. When I next venture to the shed I'll have a look at what it's called.

I've found this is excellent on plastic bits. Cleans and 'feeds' them - brings back the shine.

I've got some Autoglym and some other 'back to black' type products, but this isn't a flat panel.

The part I'm talking about is more like a suede/felt material. Maybe it's just the worn plastic, but anything that's meant to get black plastic looking good is white and has no effect on this bit of trim.

The Autoglym gel works fine and adds an oil of some sort to the plastic to bring it back to black. The stuff is actually a sort of green colour.

Try smooth peanut butter, it works very well. The peanut oil does the same trick as the gel and you get to eat the remainder..............

If the plastic feels like felt you may have a layer of dirt or mildew over the plastic. I would try cleaning it with some liquid soap and a toothbrush first. Then you should be able to achieve a black finish with a suitable product.
