Lol, I'll try that tomorrow.

Sure sounded like a horn to me , not a siren and disarming the alarm stopped the noise

mine went off the other day. i locked the doors with family inside. thought i set the internal sensors off, but didn't. i was surprised how relatively quiet it was. it wasn't a horn. it was a distinct car alarm sound.

I have ALWAYS "Fancied" re-wiring my alarm to a CD player & an outside "megaphone"..... When the alarm is triggered it would "Play" the following...

"Oi! YOU Stop ignoring me & Listen ... I'm being ROBBED Do you understand... Now stop looking damned stupid & go & find MY owner hes in that shop over there".... Then 30 Secs of Silence & then "Oi YOU STILL HERE I'm being robbed get off yer ass & find my owner NOW, Come on Quick Smartish like"

Bit like them big HGV's that have the Speaker saying .."Danger this vehicle is reversing" ect ect ....

I found this out to my cost, I secured "The Wife" in the vehicle and then went into the shop. She sneezed and all hell broke loose. I managed for a very short period of time make out she had broken something. Thankfully she had the common sense to open the door from the inside. She got a shock and was somewhat embarrassed.

On another note we went to view a Skoda (4wd thingy, can't remember the name) any way the salesman locked us in the car. Only way to get attention of the
passersby was to rock until the alarm went off. He didn't even apologise.
