Its a pain when that happens. I remember when I scrapped my mark 1 Primera because I got quoted twice what the car was worth to fix it to find out later that I could have done it myself for a few hundred quid.

I'll probably get shot for saying it but I still miss that car today but then I'm happy to have moved on from Nissan and gone Volvo.

Have you thought of changing it back?

Miss my 850 already, but then I'd already decided I was going to keep my C70 and want more time with the 760!

Just hope the bloke who bought my 850 treats it well like he said he would. Was weird seeing it at work the other day and then thinking it was no longer my car!

Been there, done that. Went from a Nissan Silvia Turbo (original, not an S14) to a Sierra XR4x4. Nissan was the better car and more fun with rwd and a bit of work... And it had a superb hifi back in 1989, considering it was a 1984 car.

Also went from a Renault 5 Turbo to a Sierra XR4i which seemed a bargain. Until the money I saved from buying it went on a gearbox, diff, axle and shocks.... Managed to swap that for a 205GTI though!

Cool

Yeah. Sold my 'old' 940 saloon, and bought a Ford Scorpio Ultima.

For comfort, performance and toys the Ultima was absolutely amazing, but as a tow car (even at 2.9 litres) it was complete rubbish.

Ah, we had an S60 D5 52 plate and changed it for the V50 2006 as we have a dog, we are now selling our v50 as we need an auto and have gone for an s60 d5 auto as a friend of mine was selling hers for a good price.
If you fancy a v50 let me know!

Yeah, had an 850 tdi for 5 years, 40+mpg, did 70k+ miles in it. spent a fortune on main dealer servicing, then sold it to buy a S60 d5, which I couldn't drive comfortably and didn't "take" to. Sold the S60 after 20 months........

Oh, and bought the 850 tdi back, when the chap I sold it to then put it up for sale on ebay.... Woops!! Still have it, though will probably be selling it again next year (maybe permanently this time!).
