Default Handbrake travel adjustment

Hi all.

The better half suddenly realised her car is due its MOT and its booked in tomorrow

I've noticed the handbrake comes up pretty far so would like to adjust that this evening (possibly temporarily if I decide it needs a brake overhaul) before the MOT just to avoid a silly fail if it maxes out on the brake rollers.

Can anyone tell me where is easiest/best to do that? I don't know whether to pull out the centre console first, or pull the trays off from underneath, and I'd rather not be out there at 10pm putting half the car back together!

Any help appreciated! (2017 Manual D2 R-Design Right Hand Drive!)

The actual operation of the handbrake is adjusted at the rear discs or drums.

The level travel is adjusted at the rear of the lever itself. Provided there is at least one click of reserve travel at the lever it's doesn't matter how high it goes for the MOT.

Thanks, handbrake appears to work fine I just want to avoid the lever travel maxing out before full effort is applied!
