Engine: D5: - Noisey on acceration

Hi,, a few opinions if I may?

My S60 D5 is noisey when you have your foot on the accelerator.
It sound like the turbo maybe but its not a typical 'whistling' sound.
The only way I can describe the sound is a loud ticking as if made by exaust gasses.

When cold and the engine is providing breaking you can hear a 'whosssing' sound. Also you can hear the 'wastegate??' venting air.

I cant see any defects in the pipes of the turbo and the intercooler is sound (ive just replaced it but thats another story)

No seeming loss of power, no smoke anything just this noise that starting to sound expensive

Car has a good 170k on it.

Any ideas?
