Default automatic service intervals

I recently had the message come up on the screen of my 2018 V90 D5 that it required routine maintenance. The car is 9.5 months old, with 23,500km (14,600 miles) on the clock.

The car's system prompted me to make an appointment at my dealer, so I tapped away at the screen to make the booking. The next day, I got a call from the dealer to tell me that the service interval is 12 months or 30,000km (18,600 miles), so it was not necessary to bring it in.

So now I have the annoying service reminder every time I start the car. It's at the dealer this week anyway for some bodywork repairs, and I've asked them to double-check the service situation.

Let's wait and see ...

Yes we had the same on ours after about the same time and they said they couldn't reset it as it would come up again the same time next year.

Just spoke to my brother about this on mine - popped up today...

Its because the year timer counts down from the time it's PDI'd - the mileage one is separate.

Once it's serviced it should get back on par for next year.

The PDI is carried out by the dealer, right?

In my case, the car arrived at the dealer less than a week before I collected it, so it's still less than 10 months old.

Ahhh, I think my old V40 warned me about 2 months before the 12 month was due...

Hmm...was this a factory order or did you buy it from dealer stock? If the latter, it is possible that it is 12 months since the car was first powered up, probably when it first arrived at the dealer.

AS roundyuk says, once it has been serviced and the service indicator reset all will be well.
