1997 volvo s70 2.5t boost pressure increase
hi all. this may have already been asked. i have a 97 volvo s70 2.5t, got it cheap and want to make it a little quicker. the car has got 150k on clock and runs sweet, im wanting to increase the power a bit on a pretty tight budget. i am going to weld up and exhaust and put a cone or panel filter in it, but have recently been told about putting a manual boost controller on the car to increase the boost psi. im confident at trying anything and the car was cheap so i dont mind pushing more out of it, can anyone give me any info on doing this and also where to plumb the boost gauge into, thanks

itll be far more reliable to get hold of a used 16t turbo, some white injectors and a t5 ecu. MBCs are accidents waiting to happen and only used by people who cant set up boost control properly. MBCs cause spikes in boost pressure which can create lean conditions as you havent got the fuelling set up to supply the difference its created. Even a light remap on your existing ecu will be safer than faffing around with an MBC.
