Rarely see a 240 and as fate would have it today I was driving my step-daughter's Fiesta so flashing headlights might have caused confusion! A red estate, very well loaded and turning up into Launceston Road, Bodmin, towards the A30. Presumably someone either off on holiday or heading back home.

Driving into Bodmin today a couple of cars behind a silver estate, 'E' registration. I've not seen it before so maybe on holiday. From a distance it looked quite smart.

Red 240 estate heading for Kings Lynn this afternoon through West Winch. Looked to be in decent condition
I did wave from my white 240 estate.

Just caught a glimpse in the fog and dusk, of a dark, probably blue, saloon on the A390 going towards St. Austell. This time of year possibly someone on holiday. Saloons seem to be a bit of a rarity nowadays.

Ah, the well-known ghostly Volvo that haunts the A390. Only ever appears dimly through the fog...

That sounds like a subject for a letter-day Holmes! Who knows what terrors lurk behind the high hedges of a Cornish road?! 'The Demon Volvo of the Trehaverocks'.
Thank you, Stephen, I was feeling a bit gloomy this morning then read your post. Have to see the computer man now to get the spilt tea out of the keyboard! Last edited by Angie; Aug 21st, 2015 at 10:24. |

Another Cornish 240! A clean white estate, H670FRL, spotted today on the old Redruth bypass. Great to see another one, we don't see many down this way. It's probably something to do with the proximity of United Downs banger track.
