Has anyone had a dash go blank?? ( Happened to me on 2nd leg of journey.
2003 s60 D5 auto. moved slowly, with driving lights but no indicators; alarm light blinking.) Dash has now been checked by an electronics service and found to be OK; A garage opinion is the CEM has failed, which would need a separate specialist repair costing c.£400. ( ...also told that since CEM is coded to the car, my options are to repair, buy a new one from Volvo for £1500, or scrap vehicle.) Views / advice appreciated, tnx. |

Speak with www.volvodiagnostic.com who many of us use.
He can repair regardless of whether it's the DIM or CEM and for a reasonable price. On a 2003, my money is on the DIM being faulty. Bit early for CEM issues but not impossible so check with the expert.

As it turned out, the CEM was tested, repaired and refitted; car now ok.
