S60 cold start squeaky noise
Hi,
Recently purchased S60 2007 and noticed a squeaky noise when turn ignition to position 1 from cold start. Is it normal behaviour, your help would be greatly appreciated as I am novice when it comes to buying a car. Cheers |

Where does the noise come from? If its from the rear it will be the in tank fuel pump, makes a kind of squeaky whine noise for about 80 seconds.

If you turn the cabin fan speed at off, do you still hear the noise?

Bird noise
Hi
It is a bird noise every couple of seconds during driving suspect from air flow box next to fuse box in bonnet. Any idea what it could be. The AC was turned off. Cheers |

It might be one of the several ventilation flaps or motors squeaking.
Try pressing the various airflow direction buttons on the climate panel to see if it influences the noise.

Both the transmission and the brake booster pump are under/near the airbox
Make sure it's not a serpentine belt pulley that's about to seize.
