Default V70 Rear door wiring Failures, wont unlock

Rear Door wont unlock and wiper not working. Worse than I ever imagined, 10 damaged wires and 6 completely disconnected.

2007 V70R

Let your Wagon friends know to check the wiring before it gets this bad. Getting a 2007 V70 rear door open once the lock stops unlocking is fun but let me know if you need info.

Hello, No biggie. The tailgate was replaced on this vehicle.
Own it since new?
Happy splicing! Kira

Default Bad Installation

The door is original and all was good for 8 years.
It was assembled poorly at the hinge area from factory. Wire loom bends sharply and got smashed between hinge and roof on every opening/closing of door. My fix may not last too long either.
Getting the door open was the tricky part.
