Default Outputs and reliability.

Jan Elwoth is a former long term Volvo employee in their engine development dept. who is capable, informed and equipped to write good software. If it was written against a full declaration of the modifications I would say the engine should be well managed by his calibrations and the output would be near the 300bhp figure, maybe a bit more. The standard internals will be just fine.... provided the previous owner has not made any mechanical changes around boost control such as tightening the wastegate etc. You would not want to be seeing much over 18 psi to keep on the safe side, certainly in the lower rev. range

Pricewise here in the UK you would not want to be paying much over £1500...if that.

Jan Elwoth's site is www.wothrline.com

If you contact him I am sure he can give you some background to whatever work he did on the ECU.

Regards, Don.

Or, just don't floor it until after 3-3500k rpm.
Thx he said its on a safe tune. So that means there's more in it. Im going to buy it. Ive never had a turbo car. I have a Ford Lightning im going to sell so i can buy the volvo. I will stay in touch and post pics when I get it

Looks tidy... Apart from the damage

I wonder why it's got a 3.5 inch downpipe on a turbo with a 3" outlet..?

Any reason the covers over the coils and timing belt are missing? That always sets massive alarm bells ringing for me when I'm looking at a used car - either carelessness or laziness is implied.

Not intending to be rude but I fully expect to see this car being parted out within 3 months
