Default Volvo prepaid servicing offer - a good deal?

Having previously owned Audi and VW cars, I'm considering a switch to a new XC40 B3(P). Volvo is currently offering prepaid service plans at £699 for 3 years and £1149 for 5 years. I've seen elsewhere on the forum that opting for this kind of service plan was a no brainer, but these costs have gone up considerably since then. For those of you with experience of Volvo servicing on the XC40, is this still a good deal?

Thanks in advance!

Gary

£1,149 sounds like a good deal. I couldn’t take advantage of a Volvo service deal because I bought my B4P from dealer stock (plan only available if you ordered a new car from Volvo). My dealership told me that the first five services would cost over £1,700 at today’s prices. Factor in inflation and it’ll be more than that.

Given the way inflation is going this still sounds a no-brained then. I guess a lot of the effects of inflation have yet to feed into the manufacturing process.

Wow. It was 5 years for approx £500 two years ago.

I duly signed up to that…

I still probably would at that new price.
