Tps pedal sensor
I had the fault code p0121,the car ran ok but usually jumped all over on idle and would settle down after about 30 seconds,i would also receive the occasional stop safely and restart message. I bit the bullet and repaired the ETM with a contactless sensor kit off e-bay. This made no difference and the fault code still remained although driveabilty seemed to improve slightly. This was about 3 months ago and today the car has gone into limp mode and is still displaying the same fault code. P0121 throttle/pedal position sensor/switch out of A range circuit performance.
Could it be that i didn't repair the ETM properly which i think is unlikely as the car would have been worse than before. Could it be the sensor on the pedal, i've seen them for sale on e-bay but not sure how common a failure they are,or i have seen it suggested it could be the MAF? I'm really desperate for help, the car is a 1998 S80 2.9. i want to avoid the dealers if at all possible as it'll cost me more than the cars worth. Thanks in advance for any help. |

After massive help and advice from Lukas he diagnosed a terminal fault with my ETM and gave great advice on sourcing another one which i have been succesful with. If anyone needs any help i can't recommend Lukas enough at volvo diagnostic. Just give him a ring.
I now have a sacer contactless sensor for sale if anyone interested? |
