Default Autobox question 850 T5

Hi guys am having problems finding the autobox oil dip stick does anyone know where it is ? car is '97 850 2.3 T5

This is a long time ago, BUT if you look down between the air intake pipe to air box and between the intake throttle body pipe i think it sits low down there. at the front of the gearbox.

Yep, that's the spot! Right pain in the arse to get to. Whatever you do, don't get tempted to remove the giant sump plug type thingy to drain it! It holds part of the internals together and it's almost impossible (but can be done) to sort it with the box in situ!
