Question Refit overflow pipe

Looking for tips, had my car properly cleaned, but it came back with a pipe hanging below the rear bumper. My guess is this is a pipe designed to take any spilled diesel to the ground behind the wheel.

Not having 6 foot multi jointed arms, how do I (or the valet company) get it back on?

I had a quick look at taking the arches out, but it looks like I have to pull some rivets.

If I pull these are they destroyed in the process?

And can I get more online?

Rivets?
When asking for help, it's always best to specify what car it's about...
Hint: you can add it to your signature, so it can't be forgotten

Pop rivets will be single use.
You'll be able to get them from a dealer.
You can also use any fixings supplier if you have the rivet dimensions.

Sorry XC60

The rivets are quite strange, they look like a plastic nut with a metal core.

To get them out harmlessly do I push the core thru, or pull it out?

Thanks

Chris

That's a stud with a push on nut should unscrew and when you replace just push it on.

Thanks Bullydog,

Worked as you said, got it all a part to refit the pipe.

I was expecting a spigot for the pipe to fit over but it was just a hole, I refit the pipe by just pushing it in from above. I caouls have done it without removing the arch linings.
